Artist Details

Autumn Red offer the modern edge of alt country-folk. Bursting with intensity and integrity, the shows are alive with power yet at times possess a beautiful vulnerability. “Old-time music played by young guys bringing things in to 21st century.”

The debut self-release album Dead Fools Gold was released in January 2011 and already has sold in huge numbers, down to recent gigging alone. This album was based on Lloyd Williams solo project with help and creative input from the band. Collaborative endeavours are in the works, . Roots music plays a huge part in their influence. Front man, Lloyd William’s is known on the circuit as an accomplished banjo/guitarist in his own right.  Maintaining a regular gigging schedule, and with a large selection of UK and European gigs on the roster.

" I picked up several banjos on a visit to Staten Island to the mandolin Brothers.  Something about the tone and feel of the WL-250 I could not put down, The beautiful finger board and Old time look was exactly what I wanted from appearance of the banjo.  I use Allot of drop tunings,  Open Cm ect and its one of the only banjo I can find that can retain the tone at these lower tensions,   The sound in the studio with the back and front miked up sounds beautiful and really brings out the full tone and body of the WL250 "    -Lloyd Williams
