Gold Tone attended the IBMA tradeshow and FanFest in early October. We displayed all our instruments for playing and let everyone feel like a Gold Tone owner.

You can visit our MySpace Page for more pictures, videos, and shoutouts from many Gold Tone owners!

Besides our Gold Tone instrument display we also debuted the Bluegrass Apprentice Program(BAP), a system to teach bluegrass in a class environment; see the website here:

Besides checking out our banjos, our alternative instruments are always very well received. The Dojo, EBM (Electric Banjo), the minis, a 6-string mandolin for guitar players (GM6) received constant attention. We had continued attendance by amateur and pro players.

Dan Levenson, a well-known Old-Time player, assisted and taught mini-seminars on the clawhammer style.

We presented Grammy(R) Award winning artist Cathy Fink with the first ever graphite neck installed on a vintage vega tubaphone pot. Here are her comments: "The graphite neck is the smoothest bajno neck I've ever played. It feels great. It certainly gets the most out of the 1920's tubaphone pot we put it on."

Also jamming at the Gold Tone booth frequently were Bob Carlin, Rebekah Weiler, Vince Farsetti, and the wonderful kids band Lonesome Meadow (Anne Marie, John, & Gary) http://www.lonesomemeadow.com/

On Wednesday night Gold Tone sponsored the first ever Old-Time showcase featuring: Bob Carlin, Dan Levenson, Rebekah Weiler, Cathy Fink, Marcy Marxer, and Mark Simos. and clips of the perfomances are available at our MySpace page: http://myspace.com/goldtoneinstruments.
