(GN3-R) Graphite Banjo Neck - Hearts & Flowers - Radiused Fingerboard

5 reasons why your next neck should be graphite:
1 Improves tone on any banjo... graphite composition is more consistent than wood fibers and actually promotes tone enhancement.
2 Graphite is impervious to temperature and humidity changes, resulting in incredible neck stability in any climate or weather.
3 Fingerboard levelness is perfect... not a hint of twist! Provides lowest action possible on all strings, without fret buzz.
4 Smoothglide finish, satin finish on back of neck provides effortless left hand motion as you move up and down the neck.
5 Graphite strength! Allows for a thinner neck profile without sacrificing any neck strength. Stays in better tune, and adjustable truss rod works smoothly.

Our replacement graphite neck comes completely fretted, finished, and ready for installation by a qualified banjo luthier. You may also send your pot to Gold Tone for a neck replacement. Your banjo will be returned with a new neck, completely set up with improved tone and the lowest action possible.

Installing a Graphite Neck
The heel profile is molded for a flat cut. Flat cuts are normally mounted on open-back banjo pots. Most bluegrass banjos require a "flange cut." We can install this cut using Gibson specs for either a once piece flange or tube and plate design. We can not guarantee a perfect fit unless Gold Tone installs the neck. All heel cuts are done using specific jigs (tooling) and are extremely difficult to fit properly by using hand tools. Normal woodworking jigs work fine.

Additional Inlays
If desired additional inlay may be added. Installing inlay in a graphite neck is the same as a wood neck.

 Testimonies
"The banjo arrived today, and it looks and sounds great!! A perfect setup makes playing a totally "new" experience. The graphite neck is beautiful and feels very good. Think I´ll have to get a new and more comfortable strap, because the banjo weighs at least 3 times more then my old Morgan- have been using a guitar strap wrapped around the body/resonator screws..:)
Haven`t tried the shaller D tuners much yet, but I guess they will work just fine when I learn how to use them properly..

Hope I can maintain the perfect condition of the instrument as long as possible!

I am very happy with with my choice of sending it to you for upgrades and setup, and will definetly do it again whenever quality work and good service is needed! Will also recomend other musicians in my local and web-network to do the same:)"
