Paul Beard Bass (PBB)

A great alternative instrument for bass players.  More than any other guitar-style bass, the dynamics and sustain of the PBB has a remarkably similar tone to an upright bass (this is an awesome option for bluegrass bass players and any other music types who want to travel lightly but not compromise that authentic upright bass sound). Designed by Paul Beard, it features a 32" scale, humbucking pickup and volume & tone controls.  Assembled in the USA, we use Paul's cone and spider and set up every instrument with the lowest possible string action for quick up-the-neck playing.

The optional Collapsible PBB Bass Stand can be added to your PBB Bass Guitar for $199.  When the stand is collapsed, it can fit in your hardshell case.  The stand extends from 19"-40" for many different heights and has a shock absorber.  The stand allows you to play the bass in an upright position.  Hardware is included.
