Dojo

Our original Dojo has great string action and a lively sustain. The mahogany body provides a crisp tone and is a welcome addition to the 5 string players arsenal. Mahogany body, biscuit-style design, decorative body binding, unique body style, incredible sustain, straightline tailpiece.

Dear Mr. Rogers -
I bought a standard Dojo last month (from...) and I am very impressed.  The tone, workmanship, and attention to detail are certainly more than one would expect from an instrument at that price point.  It sits proudly next to my $4,600 Deering and doesn't suffer from an inferiority complex.
Over my fifty years of musicianship,  I've owned twenty-three banjos (including old & new Mastertones, a 1914 Vega #9, & a Montana model Silver Belle), countless guitars (including a 1939 D-28), and several old Gibson F & A mandolins.  My Dojo gives me more bang for the buck than any instrument I've owned.  I've played bass on the Grand Ol' Opry road tour and am probably the only picker on the planet who has performed (and traded breaks with!) Bo Diddley and Eddie Adcock.  I know from instruments...
I've composed a tune which uses the Dojo's unique tonal qualities; it's in a much different direction than the sound bite you offer on the Dojo web page.  I've attached a ZIPPED copy of "Night in the Harem" that my friends and I recorded recently.  I hope you enjoy it.

Sincerely,
Bob Peelstrom

Hi Wayne,

The question I asked you in an earlier email: "which gold Tone Dojo model was best for my needs ?"
was answered this morning.  The Mahogany Dojo won, not just for a bargain price, on a barely used one,
but the superior tone potential of Mahogany neck & body. Paul can install a Fishman/Beard pick-up later for around $150.

While in the folk shop playing the Dojo, customers interested in dobro guitars hanging on the wall, were astounded
when I took the Dojo out of the case, & proceeded to frail Cripple Creek, picked Jesse James, then a Celtic waltz tune.

The Dojo is an absolute essential part of my growing Gold Tone collection.

Thanks,
Gordon
