The MC Banjo kit is designed for the do-it-yourself craftsman. Based on our MC-150 banjo, it utilizes a vintage proven design which provides excellent tone!! All maple wood parts are pre-shaped and ready for final sanding and finishing. The critical joints are all pre-cut and the slotted fingerboard is glued to the neck. The 11" maple rim is pre-made and guide holes are drilled. All metal parts are chrome-plated and ready for assembly.
Features include maple neck, maple body, pre-slotted rosewood fingerboard, frets are all pre-cut, snow flake position markers (already inlayed) , double coordinator rods, sealed geared tuning machines, Price Licensed tailpiece, two-way truss rod, bone nut, Remo head, and full walled resonator with binding. No special tools are needed. The MC kit, when built, provides an excellent banjo with the looks and tone for either open-back or bluegrass-style playing.
