Wayne and Robyn,
Just wanted to take a moment to say thanks! My wife gave me an MC-150 kit for my birthday and I am very thrilled with the end result. I have a Deering Boston and Vega Little Wonder (both are beautiful instruments) but thought it would be fun to actually build one.

My wife ordered it from Janet Davis and I actually put it together in two days (of course in my excitement I got started purdy early in the am and worked all day long and got 15 coats of high gloss laquer on it). I do have some experience in setting up banjos and also have a lot of experience in working with tools.

I would say that the fine tuning stage, only took about an hour and a half and for the most part involved cutting the notches in the nut to bring the action down purdy low.

The parts fit great! The wood is beautiful, and the sound is bright and mellow. No buzzes, rattles, or any other problems!

This thing is awesome and an instrument I will treasure for many years to come.

Many Thanks and I wish you continued success.
