GM-70+ (GM-70+ Mandolin)

The GM-70+ is all solid wood F style with carved top. Traditional bluegrass punch and shop adjusted for excellent playability. The tone, playability, and workmanship will equal or surpass any other Pacific Rim made mandolins. This professional mandolin has the highest grade materials including ebony fingerboard and bridge, solid spruce top, solid maple back, gold-plated hardware, genuine abalone inlay and a gorgeous finish.

Each GM-70+ undergoes complete professional set up in our shop before delivery. To increase tone we sand the bridge feet for perfect fit with the top and add a damper under the tailpiece cover to eliminate any rattle or overtones on string length behind the bridge. To assure the best playability and lowest action we level and polish frets, adjust the truss rod, oil the fingerboard, adjust slots in the nut and bridge, and electronically intonate the bridge. This attention to detail assures every GM-70+ of excellent tone and the lowest possible string action!

I just wanted to pass on to Wayne how pleased I am with my GM70.

I was the customer how waited over the summer to get the mando through Folk of the Wood. I believe Wayne picked out my mando personally. I had my luthier put on a Brekke bridge, from Webber, which eliminated the metal jackscrews from the bridge equation and it really brought the instrument to life. I have played nearly everday since the first week in September and

am loving every minute of it. I will need to have my fretts dressed for the second time in about a month or two and I'll probably wear through them in a year or so:) Kevin, my luthier, said that he might consider replacing them with stainless steal when I need new frets, I guess they last forever.

I have been playing through amplification with a Dean Markley Artist Transducer and it really picks up all the wood sounds in there:) I think I am going to have it permanently attached inside with an endpin jack.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to and I wanted to thank you for the fine instrument you all sent me. I look forward to playing it for a long time to come.
