GM-50 (GM-50 Mandolin)

This solid top A-style mandolin is a replica of a famous vintage mandolin. Affordably priced, you won't find a better tone for the buck. The maple back and sides help promote consistent volume.

Just purchased a GM 50 last week, and I am absolutely blown away by the sound. Bright and balanced tone, better than average volume for atn "A" model ... sounds like a vintage mandolin. Ideal for Celtic and Irish.

I don't know if I'm just the lucky guy with an exceptional GM50, or if they are all like this. But in any event, thanks for making these available at such affordable prices.

By the way, I've almost worn out the original strings in the last week, and would like your suggestions on string gauge and alloy for the GM50. If you recommend certain brands or sets, let me know. (Couldn't find anything on the website ... if I missed it let me know)
